Installation recommendations

1. Confirm the adaptor size and thread compatibility with the column pipe and mating delivery-side component. 2. Clean and inspect both mating threads before assembly. 3. Apply PTFE tape or a suitable thread sealant compatible with the installation. 4. Start the threaded connection by hand to avoid cross-threading. 5. Before you buy

How do I select the correct size?

Match the column pipe size and the thread specification of the mating delivery-side component. Confirm both size and thread compatibility before ordering.

Why is cast iron used for this adaptor?

Cast iron provides a substantial mechanical construction suitable for compatible column-pipe assemblies. The complete installation must still be correctly supported.

How should the threaded joint be sealed?

Use a suitable PTFE tape or thread sealant compatible with the installation and apply it according to the sealant manufacturer's instructions.

Can it be reused?

It may be reused when the adaptor, threads and mating components are undamaged and remain suitable for the installation.

What if the joint leaks?

Isolate the system, inspect the threads, alignment and sealing material, then reassemble correctly. Do not attempt to solve leakage simply by excessive tightening.

No. Small drip fittings such as joiners and end caps arrive boxed — 100 to a bag, for instance — but you order in pieces and can buy a single one. The box quantity and its price are shown alongside the per-piece MRP so you can see both, and any product with a genuine minimum order states it on its page and on its data sheet.
