Before you buy

Which length should I choose?

Measure the gap you actually need to close, then pick the nipple that fills it in one piece. The whole point of the longer barrel is to avoid stacking couplings to make up the distance.

Is this suitable for irrigation systems?

Yes, it is intended for compatible threaded connections in irrigation and water-management systems.

How do I prevent leakage at the threaded joint?

Check thread compatibility, cleanliness, alignment and the condition/application of the selected thread seal. Tighten appropriately without over-tightening

Can it be used for high-pressure applications?

Suitability depends on the complete system, mating components, sealing method and applicable pressure rating. Do not treat the fitting alone as having an independent pressure rating unless specified.

What should I check if the connection is difficult to assemble?

Stop and check thread compatibility and alignment. Do not force the fitting, as cross-threading or excessive tightening can damage the mating threads.
