The Inline Drip pipe Ultraflow series 16 MM is an LLDPE inline drip lateral with a 2 MM wall thickness, 16 MM diameter and integrated emitters at 40 cm spacing. It is designed for compatible drip irrigation installations where controlled water application is required along crop rows. The approximately 400-meter coil provides a long lateral length for suitable field layouts.

Installation recommendations

Same layout as any inline lateral — take-off from the submain, drippers facing up, flush before capping the far end. The wider pressure band is what this series is for: it will hold discharge where the ground falls away, but a pressure gauge at the head is still how you know, and a filter is still what keeps the emitters open.

How is the Inline Drip pipe Ultraflow series 16 MM different from the Aquaflow inline pipe?

Both have 16 MM diameter, 40 cm emitter spacing and 4 lph discharge. The Ultraflow has a 2 MM wall thickness, approximately 400-meter coil length and a specified operating pressure of 1–3.5 kg/sq cm, while the Aquaflow inline pipe has a 1.2 MM wall thickness, approximately 300-meter & 500-meter coil length and a specified operating pressure of 1–2 kg/sq cm. Choose between them based on the irrigation system's pressure, layout and application requirements.

What is the Inline Drip pipe Ultraflow series 16 MM used for?Do I need a filter?

What filtration should be used?

Filtration should be selected according to the water source, water quality and emitter requirements. Proper filtration helps reduce the risk of emitter blockage.

Can it be used for fertigation?

Yes, compatible water-soluble fertilisers can be applied through a properly designed fertigation system. Fertilisers should be completely dissolved and suitable for drip irrigation.

How should the lateral be flushed?

Open the lateral end and flush until the discharged water is reasonably clear. The flushing frequency should be based on water quality and system conditions.

How should the drip pipe be installed?

Lay it along the crop row without twists or sharp kinks, connect it using compatible fittings, and gradually pressurise the system while checking the connections.

How should it be stored after the season?

Drain and flush the system, handle the pipe carefully during removal, and store it in a clean, dry location protected from physical damage.

What should be checked before operating the system?

Check that all connections are secure, the lateral is free from kinks or damage, the line has been flushed and the system is operating within the specified pressure range.
