About this product

The SS Bend CNC Thread 3" is a steel bend with CNC-machined threaded connections, designed for compatible pipe and fitting assemblies. Its 3" size and 50 CM length make it suitable for changing the direction of compatible irrigation and water-delivery pipework.

Key features

  • CNC-machined threaded connection
  • Steel construction
  • 3 MM stated thickness
  • Easy fitting and inspection
  • Suitable for compatible irrigation and water-management connections

Where it's used

  • Pump delivery pipework, including openwell and above-ground installations
  • Turning a compatible delivery line around a corner
  • Replacement of an existing bend in compatible installations
  • Irrigation and water-management pipe assemblies

Benefits

  • Provides a practical bend connection for changing pipe direction
  • CNC-machined threads support accurate assembly with compatible components
  • Steel construction provides a robust metal fitting option
  • Suitable for compatible above-ground and irrigation installations
  • Can be inspected and dismantled when correctly assembled

Installation recommendations

Clean the mating threads and apply a suitable thread-sealing method in the tightening direction where required. Start the joint by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten with an appropriate wrench without excessive force. Avoid over-tightening, particularly with compatible metal threads, and support the connected pipework so the bend does not carry a cantilever load.

Before you buy

What is an SS Bend CNC Thread used for?

It is used to change the direction of compatible threaded pipework in irrigation and water-delivery installations.

How do I select the correct size?

Select the bend according to the nominal thread size of the mating pipe or fitting. Always confirm thread compatibility before installation.

How should the bend be installed?

Clean the mating threads, apply a suitable thread-sealing method where required, start the connection by hand to avoid cross-threading, and tighten carefully with an appropriate tool.

Can the threaded connection be over-tightened?

No. Excessive tightening can damage the threads or connected components. Tighten only enough to achieve the required assembly.

Can these bends be used for high-pressure applications?

Suitability depends on the pressure rating of the complete installed system, mating components and operating conditions. Do not assume a pressure rating unless one is specified.

Can the bend be removed and reused?

It may be removed and reinstalled when the fitting and threads remain undamaged. Inspect the threads and renew the thread seal as appropriate before reassembly.

What maintenance is required?

Periodically inspect the threaded connection for leakage, movement or visible damage. Replace the fitting if the threads are damaged or the fitting is deformed.

Are your prices MRP or dealer rate?

Every price on this site is MRP, inclusive of tax. It is the same for everyone — there is no separate dealer login or hidden rate. For bulk quantities, send a bulk enquiry and we will quote on volume.

Why is GST 5% on some products and 18% on others?

Micro-irrigation equipment — drip and sprinkler systems — attracts 5% GST under Indian tax rules. General plastic pipe and fittings attract 18%. The rate that applies is shown on each product page rather than assumed.

Do I have to buy a whole box of small fittings?

No. Small drip fittings such as joiners and end caps arrive boxed — 100 to a bag, for instance — but you order in pieces and can buy a single one. The box quantity and its price are shown alongside the per-piece MRP so you can see both, and any product with a genuine minimum order states it on its page and on its data sheet.
