Installation recommendations

Cut the damaged section out square — a slanted cut never seats. push each end fully onto the barb until it meets the centre stop. Charge the line and check the joint before walking away; a joiner that is only half-seated holds at rest and lets go under pressure.

What is the Poly Joiner VIRGIN 16 MM used for?

It is used to connect compatible 16 MM drip irrigation laterals, including joining, extending, or repairing a lateral run.

Can it be used to repair a damaged drip lateral?

Yes. Cut out the damaged section cleanly and connect the two sound pipe ends using the joiner.

Can it be used with 16 MM flat drip tape?

No. It is intended for compatible 16 MM drip lateral and should not be treated as a flat drip-tape connector.

Does it require adhesive or solvent cement?

No. It is intended as a push-fit connection; adhesive or solvent cement should not normally be required.

Can the joiner be reused?

It can be reused if it remains undamaged and continues to provide a secure fit.

What should I check if the joint leaks?

Check that the pipe is compatible and properly seated over the barbs, that the cuts are clean and square, and that neither the pipe nor joiner is damaged.

Why is GST 5% on some products and 18% on others?

Do I have to buy a whole box of small fittings?

No. Small drip fittings such as joiners and end caps arrive boxed — 100 to a bag, for instance — but you order in pieces and can buy a single one. The box quantity and its price are shown alongside the per-piece MRP so you can see both, and any product with a genuine minimum order states it on its page and on its data sheet.
